I have learned the hard way that streaming services can really be a bane to one’s mental health and overall wellbeing. I remember when I used to waste my time in front of my TV watching endless series, movies, and other entertainment that left me feeling more and more exhausted and unhappy.
I decided to leave streaming services in my past and choose to invest my precious time in activities that can actually bring me joy and improve me in some way. Nowadays, I am more often found doing activities such as writing, reading, painting, and going outside to take in nature and fresh air. Doing such activities often bring me a greater sense of satisfaction and peace, rather than that nagging feeling of guilt I had when wasting hours watching something on Netflix.
Not only that, but investing my time in meaningful activities such as these have also helped me build relationships, better my health and sleep habits, and discover and hone new skills that can be applied to real life situations.
By letting go of Netflix, I can say that I am more energized and in tune with the beauty and potential of life, and it feels much better than binging shows.
