1. Take responsibility for the decisions you make and own them – never shift blame onto someone else.
2. Be prepared to take risks, however understand the consequences that may follow from bad decisions.
3. Make decisions that are based on facts and evidence and not based on emotion or assumptions.
4. Evaluate all of your options before deciding what is best for you and others involved.
5. Research each potential decision thoroughly to ensure you are aware of all possible outcomes.
6. Reflect upon how a particular decision could affect yourself, those close to you and other people in general.
7. Think clearly and logically when making a decision, consider all possibilities rather than just one or two solutions that first come to mind.
8. Get advice from trustworthy individuals when required but remember it is ultimately your decision to make and not theirs.
9. Stay away from temptation, know your limitations when it comes to risky behaviour and avoiding situations which could lead to an impulsive decision being made which you may regret later down the line.
10. Have courage in your convictions, if a decision has been carefully considered then stand by it even when things don’t turn out as expected at first – it may still work out better in the long run!
11. Seek out positive changes by embracing any opportunity to learn more about yourself and different ways of thinking before making a final decision about something important in life or work related issues
12. Remain open-minded when making a choice; give every option equal consideration and strive for a mutually beneficial outcome that everybody can live with regardless of their personal views or opinions on the matter at hand
13 .Learn from past experiences – good or bad – to ensure that mistakes are not repeated but equally appreciate successful decisions too as this can be equally valuable information which helps us become wiser in future judgement calls
14 .Gather relevant data ahead of time so there is enough factual information available to support any judgements or recommendations made within an organisation
15 .Balance between acting quickly (to capitalise on time sensitive opportunities) while also taking sufficient time to think through key elements associated with major decisions
16 .Prioritise short-term versus long-term objectives as often both need factoring into ultimate solution plans
17 .Develop strategies which focus upon both quantitative (hard data) & qualitative (soft skills) approaches where appropriate
18 .Make sure group dynamics are managed effectively if involving colleagues & staff in processes linked directly back towards forming significant conclusions & conclusions overall 19 .Demonstrate honesty & transparency with others during problem solving sessions/ discussions; openly declare what needs discussing & disclose information clearly as this allows collective solutions built off strong foundations 20 .Accept responsibility for poor choices & handle them confidently – learn how to manage failures better moving forwards
