HOW TO IMPROVE LEARNING AND THINKING ABILITY

Internet book

Learning is a lifelong process. Nevertheless, there is a period of life in which the ability to learn and think is most important.

REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Regular physical activity ensures not only good physical well-being and health, but also good mental potential. The physical well-being and mental abilities of children are closely causally linked; without well-being, there will most likely be no success at school either.

The speed of thinking and the ability to remember can be easily improved if you ensure a sufficient level of physical activity in children. The motto of a healthy mind in a healthy body should be followed even today if you want only the best for your students.

School-aged children and adolescents are usually full of energy anyway, which means that it will not be particularly difficult to convince them to participate in regular activities. Just be careful not to force them too much into something they don’t like or are interested in.

There are many options – you can enroll them in the range of organized sports training offered by educational institutions and other organizations these days, or you can actively spend time with them on your own hobbies, such as hiking, swimming, running or walking the dog. Any activity is welcome, but it is definitely necessary that this physical activity is regular.

PROPER NUTRITION

Good and nutritious food is the next pillar of school success. Food gives energy and strength to the thought processes of the adolescent; the better the nutrition, the better the children’s learning abilities will be. However, it is true that proper nutrition can sometimes be a real challenge for teenagers, as they are often picky and stubborn about the food they eat.

It is important to teach them proper nutrition from an early age. It is recommended that children eat at least five small meals a day to cover their nutrient needs. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as it provides enough energy for long hours of sitting in school desks.

It is also highly recommended that schoolchildren get used to as many different foods as possible. Only by eating a varied diet is it possible to consume all the necessary nutrients that allow the brain to function properly.

Food that should not be omitted from the daily menu of a school-going child is certainly sufficient amounts of fruits, vegetables, cereals, dairy products and meat. All these groups of foods will ensure a sufficient intake of vitamins, minerals, proteins and fibers, which will speed up brain processes and improve the ability to think and learn.

GOOD SLEEP

Without good sleep, it will be difficult for your student to keep up with all the daily challenges. Quality and long enough sleep is the key to a well-functioning brain and body. More; without proper sleep, the brain cannot even function as it needs to for a normal life.

Make sure your preschooler gets enough sleep, which means at least eight hours every night. During the week, when the children are waiting for school desks, this means that you will have to get them ready for bed early enough so that they can get out of bed in time in the morning and get ready for all the school obligations that day.

The easiest way to get them to bed at a decent hour is if you take care of proper physical activity beforehand, which will tire them out so that they really want to sleep. Physical activity also ensures mental relaxation, which is a condition for them to be able to fall asleep at all.

The room in which the children sleep and the choice of mattress on the bed also have a very strong influence on the quality of sleep. The room should be well ventilated and cleaned before going to bed. If at all possible, it should also be large enough so that the child does not feel too cramped in it. The mattress should be of sufficient quality so that sleeping on it is comfortable and the body posture is healthy.

MOTIVATION

Good motivation is a prerequisite for every success in school and also in life, without which your children will certainly not do well. If you notice that your child lacks motivation and will to do school work, it is your responsibility to help him and change this.

How to motivate a student? Especially with a lot of patience and adaptation. You will help him the most if you show a genuine interest in what is happening at school and in his life in general. Make sure that you regularly receive information from your student about school successes and challenges, as this is the only way to ensure a timely reaction when something changes.

It is also very good to define general goals for the coming school year with the children. Without defined goals, there can be no real motivation that will drive your student to learn and think. Also write down the goals and not just agree verbally.

A good motivation for learning can also be a promised reward, but it must be something that the child will really like and enjoy. However, be careful – make sure that you do not spoil the schoolboy too much, because it may happen that he will then constantly ask for rewards from you and make his school work conditional on direct encouragement from you.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

The golden rule of life also applies to learning and thinking. The more time a student spends behind books and thinking, the better these two things will go with him. It is necessary to teach him responsibility and concern for his own actions.

The ability to learn and think can be stimulated with various mind games, puzzles and skill challenges. If you take care of these kinds of regular activities, the results will soon be visible in your children’s academic success. In addition, you shouldn’t have any big problems with the schoolboy taking up the activities mentioned above, as they can be extremely fun if you present them in the right way. And, of course, you take enough free time to engage in these activities together with him.
