They say that animals are less developed than humans. I totally disagree with that in a way. For example, animals are killed for survival, which is a completely natural process. However, animals will not be tortured, abused, raped… I don’t know how anyone can “think” to torture animals. They are locked in small cages, they are not allowed to eat and drink, they are beaten, they are considered fighters, they are sexually abused, they are tortured by cutting them, they are left in their own excrement, they are left alone for several days… Someone comes up with an animal because it is interesting, because perhaps desired by his child. However, they do not realize what kind of responsibility this is. That it is necessary to take care of them, and not just cuddle and feed them. It is necessary to treat them, take them for a walk, teach them, calm them down if they are afraid. It’s kind of like having a little baby. It’s not just a (small) fluffy ball to play with, it’s not a plush toy. It is a living being that feels, loves, fears… A living being just like we humans are. And when many people find that out over time, they throw it away; saying that because there is no time, because treatment is expensive, because there are obligations, even food and treats are not exactly cheap, because he grows up.
And so the poor people end up on the roads, in ditches, in garbage, in shelters… Like garbage, like an old toy that we are tired of. However, all such people must ask themselves, if we do this to a child, brother, sister, parents, because they are sick or because we have them? No one thinks about what will happen to them, whether someone will take care of them, how they feel. People forget that animals feel, they are scared, they feel that they are rejected, they are sad and silently cry inside, they suffer. They can’t help themselves, they can’t tell.
This is happening day after day, from city to city, from country to country. Maybe even right now, as you read this, some animal is suffering. And what do we humans do? Nothing, or not enough. We close our eyes to the truth, we don’t want to hear and know, because it’s just sad. And so this horror continues. Shelters are overcrowded, many times they have to put animals to sleep because no one comes to pick them up or help in any other way. Because no one hears their silent cry for help, or because they simply don’t want to help. I’m not saying that all people are like that, thank God we’re not. However, there are too few of us good people, those who help, all too few.
So people please listen, help, feel. Don’t close your eyes to the truth. Get started, do something, help!
Believe me, there is no better feeling when you know that you saved an animal’s life, brightened its days, gave it love… When it repays you with an abundance of gratitude, with love, it brightens your days, it’s by your side when you’re in trouble, it’s with you happy… He is here for you now and until the end.
