The bedroom, which should be a place for rest, sleep and intimate moments with your partner, is often full of things that simply don’t belong there. Feng shui experts warn that certain things in the bedroom can attract negative energy and negatively affect our relationship with our partner and our mood. These are the things they think you should never have in your bedroom.
Mirrors
According to feng shui, mirrors placed opposite the bed symbolize the third person in the marriage. It is also believed that they reflect the energy in the room, so they disturb sleep. If you want to have a mirror in the room, place it so that it faces something you like to look at.
Picture above the bed
You will hardly find a bedroom in which a picture or photograph does not hang above the bed. Experts say that they can emit bad energy and advise that you prefer to hang a tapestry in bright colors above the bed.
A mess under the bed
It is best to have nothing under the bed, but if you have nothing else, keep the things under the bed neat and organized. Unnecessary accumulation of things and clutter under the bed can cause stress and headaches.
Large pieces of furniture
Most of us have wardrobes in the bedroom, maybe even a desk, but experts advise to avoid some really bulky pieces of furniture in this space. If you are lying in bed and have the feeling that your room is being “swallowed” by a piece of furniture, i.e. that it takes up a large part of the space (but it is not a double bed), definitely get rid of it.
Technology
Many couples choose to have a television in the bedroom so that they can enjoy watching series and movies from the comfort of their bed. However, this is not recommended, as technology brings bad energy into the bedroom, so we remove all technology from this room, including phones.
